Yongji High School was founded in 1943, the Anti-Japanese War period. It was established as key middle school of Shanxi province. It has been awarded the titles of “Shanxi First Batch Key Middle School” in 1984, “Shanxi Model High School” in 2009, “National Specialized School of Campus Football” in 2017, “Shanxi Model Unit”, “Shanxi Advanced School of Traditional Sports”, “Shanxi Advanced Collectivity of Educational System”, and “Yuncheng Advanced School of Teaching and Educational Quality” etc.
