Shengtian Lake is located in Monan Town, Ruicheng County, Shanxi Province, at the junction of Shaanxi, Shanxi and Henan provinces. It borders the Yellow River in the east and Zhongtiao Mountain in the north, covering an area of 7.6 square kilometers, including 4 square kilometers of water area. It is less than a hundred miles away from the place where the first sacred fire was set off 1.8 million years ago.

Since ancient times, Shengtian Lake boasted beautiful sceneries and outstanding people. It is an emerald given to the Loess Plateau by heaven. In 2012, Shanxi Tianwangtai Group began to invest in the construction of Shengtian Lake, with a first phase investment of 200 million RMB. After five years of construction, it has become a tourist attraction integrating ecological sightseeing, leisure for vacation, and mental health improvement.

The relative height difference of Shengtian Lake is more than 200m, with sufficient sunlight, suitable rainfall, diverse landforms, fresh air and rich species. There are 238 kinds of birds, 147 kinds of wetland plants and 52 kinds of fish resources, which can be called the rare gene bank of wetland wildlife in northern China.

Shengtian Lake can be called the holy water of fairyland, with beautiful sceneries in four seasons.

When spring comes, from the shore of the lake to the Loess cliff, flowers bloom. There are hundreds of white, pink, red, purple, yellow flowers competing with each other, wild or cultivated, famous or unnamed. With tens of thousands of sand swallows from southern China flying around, it’s a symphony of spring in northern China.

"The lotus leaves in the sky are boundless, and the lotus flowers in the sun are red." When summer comes, grasslands are green and flowers are red. A thousand acres of wild red lotus is swaying and shining in the wind. With the moon reflecting on the water surface, half of the lake covered by lotus flowers, egrets frolicking, and mandarin ducks singing. It's just as beautiful as the view of Jiangnan, and share the same beauty with Xizi. The hundred acres of Lotus Grand Garden fully depicts the color of summer. Wang Changling, a poet of Tang Dynasty, once said in "Lotus Picking Song": Her silk skirt blends with the green lotus leaves; The tender buds burst with her face. Their mingling in the pond dazzles the eyes; Only her song tells that she’s coming by.

Cool autumn wind comes with chrysanthemum fragrance floating in the air. The endless reed catkins on the bank of the Yellow River and the red maple leaves are even more beautiful reflecting on the holy lake and clear water, forming a unique oil painting.

When winter comes, thousands of white swans come like fairies down to the earth. They are holy, noble and graceful. They sometimes straighten their necks and sing, sometimes play and linger, sometimes spread their wings and fly. They are like white snow, like white clouds, and even more like white moving spirits, that add extreme charm to the scenery of Shengtian Lake.

The amusement events here are special, such as skiing, water skiing, sand skiing, grass skiing, high-altitude cable way, seaplane, lake yacht, sand motorcycle, leisure fishing, competitive fishing, car camping, etc. There is also a large-scale amusement park, where there are many kinds of amusement projects. The Yellow River big carp and Yellow River big shrimp served by the "Shenghu Yuyuan" aquatic food boat in Shengtian Lake are well-known, and the "Fairyland Food City" is a collection of dozens of famous Jinnan dishes, which will surely offer you a feast.

On the high cliff in the northwest of the scenic spot, Lüzu Palace was restored. Following Lüzu's footprints back then, you can see the nine curves of the Yellow River, which are magnificent.
